Compliance Expert

As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on financial crime compliance matters across the organisation. We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong foundation in financial crime obligations to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent review, advice, and challenge on BAU matters to ensure compliance with AML/CTF, FATCA/CRS, and internal FCC policies.
  • Support business teams with Product and Channel Risk Assessments (PCRAs), Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments (EWRA), and Product Risk Reviews (PRRs).
  • Assess issues and incidents for materiality and report significant matters to regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to insightful reporting on risk profiles, incidents, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of Compliance to support the design and implementation of frameworks, policies, and processes.
  • Champion Compliance's goals and values across the organisation.
  • Stay informed on regulatory developments and proactively advise on implications for the business.
About You / Qualifications:
  • You are a confident and adaptable professional with a strong foundation in financial crime obligations, including AUSTRAC regulation and the AML/CTF Act.
  • You bring a deep understanding of banking operations across business and can simplify complex regulatory matters.
  • You thrive in ambiguity, are comfortable making independent decisions, and are passionate about continuous improvement and optimising processes.
  • You engage and influence stakeholders, deliver high-quality work, and identify areas needing deeper analysis, acting as a trusted advisor in a transforming environment.
