Forensic Medical Services Specialist

Our Sexual Assault Service offers quality care to individuals who have experienced sexual violence. We are seeking a skilled Forensic Medical Services Specialist to join our dynamic team.

  • This role involves providing forensic medical examinations and general medical examinations to victims of sexual assault.
  • The successful candidate will comply with policies and procedures for the service, district, and Ministry of Health.
  • Collaboration with medical and psychosocial colleagues is essential to ensure quality service provision and continuity of care for clients accessing the service.
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must possess:

  • A current medical practitioner registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
  • Demonstrated clinical practice of a high standard, adapting to contemporary evidence-based best practice.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
  • Participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including clinical supervision of junior medical staff.
