About Cardiac Services:

We provide both inpatient and outpatient cardiac care to the community.

This includes providing critical care in the Coronary Care Unit, inpatient and outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation education and exercise programs, specialist Heart Failure outpatient services and rehabilitation, cardiac nurse in the Cardiac Investigations Unit, and providing the Chest Pain Assessment Service for patients at intermediate risk of heart disease.

The team acts as a resource for patients, relatives, and hospital staff seeking knowledge and information about cardiovascular disease, cardiac disorders, heart failure, and risk factors for heart disease.

  • Role Overview
  • A Clinical Nurse works collaboratively with our Nurse Unit Manager to deliver expert clinical service to Cardiac Rehabilitation and Heart Failure patients.
  • This role requires specialist care for patients requiring ongoing complex care particularly with inpatient and outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation and Heart Failure needs to ensure best practice and high-quality outcomes.
  • Your Qualifications and Skills
  • You must be currently registered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse.
    • A relevant postgraduate certificate or diploma is an expectation of this position.
    • Commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of your performance and development plan.
    • You must have Advanced Life Support skills, Intravenous Cannulation skills, Advanced ECG Interpretation skills, and Advanced cardiac assessment skills.
