Job Description

  • We offer outpatient and inpatient programs, as well as specialised care for patients with cardiac conditions.
  • Our team promotes heart health education across multiple campuses, while also providing risk assessment and education to hospitalised patients.

Our Cardiac Investigation Service performs diagnostic tests like echocardiography and stress testing. We provide ongoing care through the Cardiology Ward, and from mid-2026, a new Cardiac Catheter Laboratory will expand our diagnostic and therapeutic options.

About this Role:

  • The Accredited Exercise Physiologist will work as part of our Cardiac Rehabilitation / Heart Failure Service Team, conducting exercise testing, prescribing, and supervision.
  • This includes providing health promotion, cardiac education, and risk factor screening activities for patients, in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team.

Additional responsibilities include relieving in the Chest Pain Assessment Service Cardiac Scientist position when required to meet operational and staff development needs.

What You Must Do:

  • You must be accredited or eligible for accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
  • A science-based bachelor's degree with a strong exercise physiology component is a requirement for this position.
  • You must hold a current First Aid Certificate, which is a requirement of this position.
