About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Specialist to join our team in handling corporate actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and oversee mandatory and voluntary corporate action events in line with market deadlines and internal controls.
  • Interpret complex event terms and ensure accurate application across workflows.
  • Proactively identify and escalate discrepancies or risks in event processing.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on key systems and workflows; support testing and control enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and governance standards.
  • Partner with custodians, portfolio managers, and internal teams to resolve queries and ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with global peers to align on best practices and support cross-regional initiatives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on internal and external projects.
  • Step in as a delegate or escalation point in the manager's absence.
  • Foster a positive team environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Analyse events to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Lead and contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives.
  • Share insights that support strategic decision-making and champion a culture of proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years' experience in corporate actions.
  • Strong understanding of global financial markets and corporate action lifecycle.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Python, familiarity with platforms such as IMActions, Markit, or Aladdin.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
