Operating a concrete mixer truck for Hanson involves more than just transportation; it is about delivering exceptional customer service to our clients. As a Concrete Mixer Operator, you will be responsible for making multiple deliveries throughout the day, engaging with a variety of individuals. Each day presents new challenges, ensuring that no two days are alike in this dynamic role.

Role Overview:

  • Competitive remuneration with additional penalties (rate increases after 8 and 10 hours, with further increases after 12 months).
  • Typical shifts commence between 4am and 6am, with drivers working up to 10 hours per day, totaling approximately 50 to 55 hours weekly. Weekend work is often available at overtime rates.
  • A base rate is provided, with time and a half for the first two hours of overtime, escalating to double time for additional hours. Meal allowances are available after 10 hours of work.
  • As a driver, you will embody the role of a Customer Service Representative on wheels, interacting with diverse personalities daily.
  • We equip our drivers with state-of-the-art technology to ensure safety while driving, assist in route mapping, and track loads efficiently.
  • All new hires undergo a comprehensive 10-day training program before operating independently.

Candidate Profile:

  • A valid HR license is essential, with prior driving experience preferred.
  • Enjoyment in meeting and conversing with clients on-site is crucial.
  • A preference for variety in daily tasks is important, as driving our mixer trucks offers unique experiences each day.
  • A commitment to maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the truck is expected, as it represents our brand.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing, is required.
