Steel Reinforcement Scheduler Role

This is a detail-oriented role that involves converting structural drawings and customer orders into accurate reinforcement schedules. This includes preparing detailed bar bending schedules from structural drawings, generating accurate cut and bend lists for production using ASA software, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 4671, AS 3600), coordinating schedules between customers and manufacturing to meet delivery timelines, updating schedules in response to drawing changes or client requests, maintaining records of schedules and production data for reporting and quality control, and liaising with clients and site personnel to clarify specifications and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) from structural drawings.
  • Generate accurate cut and bend lists for production using ASA software.
  • Ensure reinforcement schedules comply with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 4671, AS 3600).
  • Coordinate schedules between customers and manufacturing to meet delivery timelines.
  • Update schedules in response to drawing changes or client requests.
  • Maintain records of schedules and production data for reporting and quality control.
  • Liaise with clients and site personnel to clarify specifications and delivery requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Drafting, Construction, or related field.
  • 2–3 years' experience in reinforcement scheduling within a cut & bend manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in ASA and AutoCAD, with strong understanding of reinforcement products, shapes, and codes.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards (AS 3600, AS/NZS 4671).
  • High attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across teams and with clients.
