As a Senior Server Specialist, you will be part of our Infrastructure Services team within the CIO Division. This critical role supports our department's digital infrastructure and ensures the reliability, security, and performance of our Windows Server environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team in delivering expert-level support for Windows Server environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain systems monitoring and patching using Microsoft System Centre tools (SCOM, SCCM/MECM) and Intune.
  • Implement and support cyber security controls, including application whitelisting, host-based firewalls, vulnerability scanning, and device control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver ICT projects and BAU operations.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including SOPs, design documents, and operational guides.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Windows Server technologies and enterprise infrastructure components, proficiency in Microsoft System Centre products, and a strong understanding of cyber security tools and methodologies relevant to government environments.

You will also need to have experience managing Azure IaaS environments, familiarity with Australian Government cyber security frameworks (ISM, Essential 8, ACSC), and proven ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.

Additionally, experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk and enterprise identity management systems is highly desirable.
