Job Title: Youth Development Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Youth Development Professional to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering impactful programs that empower young individuals towards employment success.

Our flagship programs, Fit for Work and Stepping Up, are designed to provide crucial support and guidance to young individuals on their journey towards employment success. As a Youth Development Professional, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating group sessions, providing one-on-one mentoring, and connecting young people with job opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group sessions focused on employability and life skills
  • Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to program participants
  • Connect young people with job opportunities
  • Collaborate with employers and community organisations to generate employment opportunities
  • Assist in recruitment efforts and program promotion
  • Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support throughout the program duration
  • Maintain case notes, records, and administrative information in order to complete program milestone and case note reporting in accordance with program standards
  • Attend weekly P.D and program team meetings to contribute towards program evaluation processes
  • Scheduling the program and participants, planning and preparing resources and overseeing and participating in the program

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work or relevant qualification
  • Experience in program facilitation
  • Demonstrated experience in youth work or employment support services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate young people
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young individuals
