Youth Development Officer

We are seeking an experienced Youth Development Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will engage, support and empower young people through the planning and delivery of programs that cater to their needs.

  • Provide guidance and supervision to young people attending the youth centre, focusing on building positive relationships, fostering participation and creating a safe inclusive space.
  • Develop and deliver programs for, and supervision of, young people.
  • BUILD AND SUSTAIN PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH RELEVANT LEGISLATION.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory reporting requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in youth work, social sciences or a relevant field, or equivalent qualifications combined with experience.
  • A current 'Paid Worker - Working with Children Check' clearance (NSW).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering programs for, and supervision of, young people.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
