Director of Fundraising and Community Relations

Our organisation seeks a seasoned professional to lead our Fundraising and Community Relations department. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker, a skilled communicator and an inspirational leader who can drive the department towards excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Fundraising and Community Relations Department: The Director will spearhead the Fundraising and Community Relations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and growth.
  • Develop Strategic Direction: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to drive fundraising initiatives, community engagement and supporter relations.
  • Strengthen Fundraising Systems: Oversee the development and implementation of robust fundraising systems, policies and frameworks that ensure best practice in line with industry standards.
  • Manage Marketing and Communications: Lead the marketing and communications function to effectively promote the organisation's mission and values.
  • Effectively Manage Fundraising and Community Engagement Functions: Drive the development and implementation of effective fundraising and community engagement strategies.
Requirements:
  • Significant Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a not-for-profit or fundraising environment.
  • Tertiary Education: A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Bachelor's degree or higher) is essential for this position.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conceptualise and formulate solutions.
  • Community Fundraising Initiatives: Experience in developing and implementing community fundraising initiatives, including partnerships and collaborations.
  • Teamwork and Staff Development: A strong track record of teamwork, coaching and staff development, with the ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Strategic Objectives: Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic objectives and contribute to organisational success.
  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and knowledge of Islamic values.
