About the Role

Heavy Diesel Mechanics play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of heavy machinery. As a seasoned Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues on earthmoving equipment.

Your primary focus will be on providing quality diagnostic, repair and maintenance services to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

You will also be tasked with preparing new equipment for delivery, performing pre-delivery inspections, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
  • Preparation and testing of pre-delivery inspections on new equipment.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Completion and submission of relevant paperwork and reports.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline.
  • Previous experience in the overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on earthmoving equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic ability.
  • An unwavering commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills & the ability to work autonomously & within a team environment.
