Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to lead our commercial efforts in renewable energy and gas projects.


This role will involve managing complex negotiations, developing key relationships with industry stakeholders, and overseeing project feasibility studies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing significant commercial opportunities and possess advanced commercial acumen.


About the Role

The Business Development Director will be responsible for leading strategic business development initiatives and managing commercial negotiations for renewable gas and biofuel projects across various sectors. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic partnerships with key industry players
  • Managing and mentoring a team of business development professionals, providing guidance on project feasibility studies and commercial structuring
  • Developing and executing plans to optimize project portfolios and resource allocation across multiple development opportunities

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in senior business development or commercial management roles within renewable energy, biogas, oil and gas, or related industries
  • A proven track record of leading successful project development and commercial negotiations with demonstrated results in securing significant commercial opportunities
  • Advanced commercial acumen with experience in complex financial modelling, project structuring, and investment analysis
  • An understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting renewable gas, including carbon credit mechanisms and gas market regulations
  • Australian Drivers Licence
