Construction Supervisor Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team in the Shoalhaven area.

This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday) across a 9-day fortnight at our depot.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and supervising staff in day-to-day construction and maintenance operations of the Works and Services department.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and direct up to 6 workers or contractors carrying out maintenance activities, ensuring works are compliant with relevant legislation and Council policy to effectively manage risks.
  2. Read, interpret and implement plans efficiently, operating and maintaining large and small plant items and vehicles.
  3. Undertake manual tasks such as concreting, digging, traffic control etc., completing standard paperwork including timesheets and MMS sheets.
Requirements:
  • School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in civil construction and/or maintenance activities.
  • MR Licence (dependent upon role specified) or willingness to obtain.
  • Minimum NSW RMS 'Implement Traffic Control Plans.'
  • SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card (white card) or recognised interstate General Construction Induction Training card.
