Job Title: Assistant Civil Maintenance Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a key member in maintaining and enhancing the civil infrastructure of Sydney Airport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of airfield pavements, road networks, stormwater systems, and more.

  • Civil Maintenance Management: Manage civil maintenance contracts to ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Budget Oversight: Oversee capital and operating expenditures budgets to ensure accurate billing and financial reconciliation
  • Works Safety Coordination: Coordinate Works Safety Officers and runway shutdowns to minimize operational disruption
  • Infrastructure Inspections: Conduct inspections and maintenance planning for pavements, roads, bridges, and drainage systems
  • Airside Grounds Maintenance: Support airside grounds maintenance, including foreign object debris response, landscaping, and spill control
  • Aerodrome Technical Inspections: Assist with runway friction testing and Aerodrome Technical Inspections to meet regulatory requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 1-3 years of experience in civil maintenance, pavement management, and aircraft pavement design
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, quality assurance, contract management, and regulatory compliance
