Infrastructure Architect Opportunity

Kirra Services is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Architect to support the agency's project and teams, providing strategic technical direction and insight across the broader business.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the service design team and Indigo Program technical teams to design solution approaches for Tranche 2 work packages, aligned with the future state design.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Contributing to the development, assurance, and/or maintenance of the agency's solution architecture artefacts, including application strategies, architectures, technology roadmaps, policies, and practices.
  2. Providing solutions by contributing to Design Authority Forums, Solution Design Workshops, and Architecture Governance Forums covering technologies and platforms such as DevOps, Azure, M365, VMware, and others.
  3. Documenting identified issues, risks, and opportunities, together with associated actionable recommendations.

Requirements include:

  1. Demonstrated experience working as an application Solutions Architect in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
  2. Experience assisting Federal Government in building and operating applications and services in these environments.
  3. Deep knowledge and experience with Microsoft development practices, platforms, and technologies, including familiarity and experience in working with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, specifically Enterprise Scale Landing Zones.
  4. Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure technologies, patterns, frameworks, and best practices, including enterprise-grade, multi-region deployment of large-scale, complex solutions, hybrid cloud solution implementations, scalable and highly available architectures, monitoring and alerting in an enterprise environment, recovery services, and backup methodologies.
  5. Demonstrated experience across enterprise networks in on-premises, full cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.
  6. Proven ability to deliver and document solutions that meet requirements and align with operational constraints and strategic vision.
  7. Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate clearly between business areas and technical teams.
  8. Experience in designing, defining, and deploying Infrastructure as Code within an Azure cloud environment using both ARM and Bicep.
  9. Exposure to Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  10. Agile working methodologies.
  11. CI/CD Pipeline engineering and management.
  12. Service integrations.
  13. Repository management and branching.
  14. Flexible skillset and a willingness to learn new and merging technologies with an enterprise focus.
  15. A willingness to undergo security vetting at the Negative Vetting 1 level.
