Job Description

**Exciting Opportunity for a ICT Infrastructure Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Whizdom Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Manage and maintain existing IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT infrastructure with business applications.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure components and their interrelations.
  • Virtualization knowledge of virtual machines and hypervisors (VMware, Nutanix).
  • Network administration skills, including understanding of network protocols, routing, wireless, switching, and firewall configurations.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure roles with a proven track record of managing complex IT environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of systems, including Microsoft Windows Server, Linux servers, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon AWS.
  • Microsoft 365 administration skills, including Exchange online and hybrid environments.
  • Microsoft Active Directory management skills, including security management using Group Policy Objects.
  • Hyper-V and Microsoft Exchange Server experience.
  • Fortinet and PowerShell skills.
  • Experience working in large storage environments.
  • ITIL knowledge and understanding of ITIL framework and practices.
  • Information security administration and compliance experience.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Vendor management experience, including managing relationships with hardware and software vendors.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage a medium-sized computer network.

Security Clearance:

Australian Citizen - Must be able to obtain a NV1 Clearance.

Contract:

12 Months with 1 x 12 months extension.

Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment screening checks, which may include ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client-requested checks.
