About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Drafter to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for drafting and designing structural elements for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed drawings and models of structural elements
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure design integrity and compliance with relevant standards
  • Apply knowledge of construction methods and techniques to ensure efficient and effective design solutions
  • Manage and coordinate project documentation, including drafting and revising drawings and models
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and builders
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
About You
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications and/or relevant experience in structural drafting and design
  • At least 3-4 years' experience in a similar role, including apprenticeship if applicable
  • Working knowledge of Revit and other BIM software
  • General understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
