About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our Preanalytical SRA Department at Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology. Reporting to the Preanalytical SRA Manager, this is a full-time role based at Bowen Hills.

As a key member of our team, you will provide support to the Manager and the Preanalytical team to deliver required business outcomes. This includes assisting with hiring, training, and coaching, ensuring Sonic Core Values are maintained.

You will also be responsible for coordinating job advertisements and triage applications, conducting phone interviews and lab tours, and assisting in physical interviews with potential staff. Additionally, you will collate and participate in annual staff reviews and ad-hoc performance meetings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Preanalytical SRA Manager in hiring, training, and coaching, and ensuring Sonic Core Values are maintained.
  • Coordinating job advertisements and triage applications, conducting phone interviews and lab tours, and assisting in physical interviews with potential staff.
  • Collating and participating in annual staff reviews and ad-hoc performance meetings.
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of new procedures from other departments into the workflow of SRA.
  • Working collaboratively with regional and department managers to ensure customer concerns and complaints are responded to and actioned within acceptable time frames.
  • Participating in interdepartmental working groups and assisting with other tasks or projects.
  • Assisting the management team in identifying trends and ensuring representatives are achieving desired service levels and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Preparing reports and analyzing data to improve processes, ensure resources are properly allocated, and maximize efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Supporting the Apollo Testing program and development of Apollo IT solutions in the Preanalytical Department.
  • Providing cover for Preanalytical leadership roles as required.
  • Participating in leadership team-building activities.
