About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers in building storage, transformation, and analytical solutions. You will collaborate with data engineers, scientists, analysts, and business users to implement data pipelines and productionize ETL/ELT pipelines and complex models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, manage, and mentor a growing team of Data Engineers & DataOps Engineers to develop data analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, optimization, and management of the data infrastructure framework on AWS, emphasizing security and reliability.
  • Deeply understand modern data engineering modeling techniques and manage automation and quality assurance of ETL pipelines.
  • Enable best practices in managing data infrastructure in a CI/CD pipeline with appropriate controls and documentation.
  • Consult with senior leaders on strategies and operating plans, directing planning, prioritization sessions, and forming Vanguard's Data Strategy.
