Job Responsibilities
As a Security Officer, you will perform various duties in different sectors and roles. This position description outlines general duties and serves as a guide.
Operational Compliance
- Ensure security officers comply with MSS Security and customer requirements
- Liaise with management and clients to investigate incidents and events
- Assist with resolving site issues
- Conduct disciplinary actions for minor breaches
- Ensure personnel conform to company policy and procedures
- Conduct regular site visits and update site operating procedures
- Ensure adequate communications and radio equipment
- Manage and maintain radio communications
- Review sites regularly to ensure procedures align with site risk factors
- Conduct security and firearms checks
- Provide advice and guidance on risk and performance management
- Ensure security officers are correctly uniformed and licensed
- Deliver uniforms to sites as needed
- Provide customer service and address customer dissatisfaction
- Follow company policy and procedures on health, safety, and environment
- Report and recommend solutions for non-compliances
Employee Engagement
- Identify training and development needs
- Provide feedback and recognition to employees
- Identify and rectify employee issues
- Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Achieve a positive employee relations environment
- Provide positive leadership by example
- Provide backup coverage in critical circumstances
- Attend to site emergencies and incidents
- Complete daily shift reports
- Ensure mandatory training modules are completed
- Perform other duties as required by management
