Financial Support Specialist

This role supports the finance team with accounting, payroll and debt recovery activities. Location: Baulkham Hills, New South Wales.


About the Job

This is a temporary full-time position up to 12 months. The Financial Support Specialist will work on a rotation basis across various finance functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accounts payable tasks – maintain records, process invoices/payments and reconcile supplier statements
  • Process daily banking, receipts and reconcile cheques and deposits
  • Perform accounts receivable duties – send invoices and reconcile accounts, manage debtor collections
  • Handle payroll tasks – upload/process data, update files, maintain and report
  • Respond to enquiries regarding payroll, accounts payable/debtors and file documentation
  • Maintain petty cash float, handle cash transactions and transfer electronic funds
  • Assist in preparing daily bank reconciliations

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA qualified or currently undertaking CPA studies
  • Experience using computerised accounting and payroll systems
  • Sound knowledge of accounting, payroll and debt recovery principles and practices
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with strong teamwork skills
  • Effective written and oral communication and customer service skills
