Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Rheumatology

As a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Rheumatology, you will contribute to teaching and research in the Specialty of Rheumatology, Sydney Medical School.

About the Opportunity
  • You will provide leadership in developing and maintaining a clinical, translational or basic science research program relevant to Rheumatology.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and promotion of clinical/education programs for MD students relating to Rheumatology.
  • Contribute to clinical care as part of the healthcare team in the Specialty of Rheumatology, including actively contributing to Rheumatology Department activities.
  • Promote a culture that is collaborative, team-oriented, and respectful of all staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership in research and education programs in Rheumatology.
  • Development and implementation of clinical education programs for MD students.
  • Clinical care and contribution to departmental activities.
  • Promotion of a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
  • PhD in a field relevant to Rheumatology.
  • Registered as a medical practitioner in NSW with recognition by AHPRA as a Specialist Rheumatologist and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, or equivalent.
  • Emerging national/international reputation and research track record.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives within Rheumatology.
  • Network of relationships with key academic and professional institutions.
