Technical Services Associate

Evolution Mining is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Assistant to support the technical services team in Northparkes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with geotechnical data collection and basic analysis for operational planning.
- Participate in site inspections and audits to observe and document geotechnical hazards.
- Maintain and update Hazmap and other visual risk communication tools.
- Support rock sampling and testing programs under supervision.
- Contribute to back-analyzing rockfalls and slope failures using site data.
- Prepare reports and presentations on geotechnical observations and findings.
- Engage in safety training, toolbox talks, and ground awareness sessions with site teams.
- Current enrollment in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, or similar degree.
- Experience with relevant software and systems through studies or placements (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills across verbal, written, numerical, and graphical formats.
- Ability to uphold high work standards and build strong relationships with peers and leaders.
- Capacity to work independently to meet personal and team goals.
- A valid manual driver's license.
- Willingness to live and work remotely.
- 12-week residential program at Northparkes, including subsidized housing in a shared house with a private room.
- Flights provided at the beginning and end of the program, and for the Christmas break.
- Fuel costs reimbursed if traveling by personal car.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
- Fast-tracked entry into the graduate program for successful participants.
