
Supporting Patient Experience Coordinator

This role is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) team.
As a Ward Clerk, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the nursing team to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience during their admission to the DOSA unit. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will enable you to effectively manage incoming and outgoing calls, greet patients and visitors, and provide administrative support to the DOSA NUM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring timely responses to operating theatre, surgeons' rooms, company representatives, and staff.
- Greet patients on arrival to DOSA for admission and nominated collection persons on discharge.
- Work collaboratively with visiting medical officers, colleagues, patients, and visitors to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients.
- Order stationery items and distribute them as required.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality when managing staff requests for patient results, such as pathology.
- Assist nursing staff in making post-operative appointments for patients and prepare patient history for medical records post-patient discharge.
- Collaborate with Theatre Bookings Clerk to amend theatre lists as needed.
- Enter diet codes into ChefMax accurately and efficiently.
- Provide administrative support to the DOSA NUM, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between teams.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, with experience in Medical Terminology and Meditech highly regarded.
