Major Gift Fundraising Role

We are seeking a skilled major gift fundraiser to join our school community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating key relationships, building trust and long-term engagement with donors, and supporting them to understand the transformational impact of major gifts. They will also manage a portfolio of prospective major and mid-tier donors, support the delivery of donor events and communications, and maintain effective records of donor engagement using our advanced CRM system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate key relationships to build trust and long-term engagement with donors
  • Manage a portfolio of prospective major and mid-tier donors to support priority projects
  • Support the delivery of relevant donor events and communications
  • Maintain effective records of donor engagement through our CRM system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, marketing or community engagement, ideally within a non-profit and/or educational environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent project management skills and time management, including the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and creative thinking, with well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A sound knowledge of the principles of marketing, communications and fundraising, particularly within the education sector
  • Previous experience working within a complex customer focussed organisation and a proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment
