About the role

We are seeking casual Community Support Workers to support clients at our Teralba and Toronto Community Hubs.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will play a vital part in helping people with disability to participate fully in their local community.

You will provide a range of community services to assist clients to be actively involved in their community, engaged in meaningful opportunities and build relationships.

This role requires someone resilient both physically and emotionally, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disability.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting Clients:

- Delivering person-centred programs to support clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community

Behavioural Support:

- Working to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies

Personal Care:

- Assisting and supporting clients with personal and hygiene care

Record Keeping:

- Maintaining progress notes and record-keeping

About You

We are looking for people who share our values and are passionate about empowering people with disability.

You will need to have:

Flexibility:

- The ability to work multiple shifts a day including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays

Skills and Qualifications:

- Current Australian drivers licence

- Current First Aid and CPR certificate

- NSW Working With Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check, or willingness to obtain

Personal Qualities:

- High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect
