Job Title: Area Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Area Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, engineering, and leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical scope of projects, including reviewing vendor technical documentation submissions, coordinating with stakeholders, and planning and developing work within the mechanical discipline.

The role requires excellent communication, leadership, and client interfacing skills, as well as experience working in integrated engineering teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing offers from vendors and completing technical evaluations of machines package offers against the package requirements.
  • Assisting with technical issue resolution and interfacing with stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Coordinating with clients representatives to obtain their approval on phase of work.
  • Planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing work within the mechanical discipline on the project.
  • Supervising day-to-day the technical work of the mechanical engineers and designers within the team.

Preferred qualifications include tertiary engineering qualifications, previous experience on EPCM projects, and minimum 10 years industry experience with a minimum of 6 years bulk materials handling experience.

Required skills and knowledge include proven experience in similar roles, ability to work comfortably as part of integrated engineering teams, skilled in oral and written communication, and strong organisational and planning skill.
