We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Development Manager join our team in Perth, WA on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Development, you will be managing and executing development activities within the Energy Solutions mandate. The focus of this role will be on developing multi-user transmission infrastructure in the Pilbara region of WA from pre-concept to final investment decision. The ultimate transmission solution may be delivered in customer driven stages and could be on an EPC / D&C or multi-contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop technically and commercially feasible solutions which meet both customer and investor requirements
- Oversee and coordinate internal Energy Solutions workstreams, ensuring their efforts align with project objectives
- Operate and communicate with the highest degree of integrity and respect for colleagues and external stakeholders, along with manageing external consultants to facilitate project development
- Maintain appropriate governance and ringfencing protocols between relevant business units, along with monitoring and reporting on project development progress
- Compile accurate and timely strategic assessment of development challenges across all development aspects such as land access and tenure, permitting, grid connection, project delivery schedules, procurement and resource assessment while identifying associated risks and opportunities
- Establish and maintain a streamlined workflow to ensure project teams (engineering, procurement, estimators, schedulers, access & approvals, etc.) meet crucial milestones, conducting meetings to sustain momentum
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Project Management, Commerce etc)
- Well-developed communication and influencing skills
- Proven development experience in the power generation and transmission and/or renewable energy sectors.
