Business Improvement Officer

Join the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS) in a challenging and rewarding role as a Business Improvement Officer. As a key member of the Resource Tenure Division, you will play a vital role in driving performance and service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assess the performance of the Resource Tenure Branch, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing strategies to support policy, procedure, and service development.
  • Collaborate with officers within the branch to maintain the Business Improvement Framework, ensuring all components remain current and relevant.
  • Coordinate process improvement initiatives, applying continuous improvement principles to deliver high-quality, responsive, efficient, and consistent services.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project or change management, with a focus on facilitating workshops to extract business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate external information about industry, environment, government objectives, and the wider department context into planning operations.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and well-structured complex material.
