Electrical Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering electrical work on time, in full, and to the required standard while striving for continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components on commercial and defence vessels, including lighting, navigation, propulsion, and communication systems.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient electrical installations.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault-finding on electrical equipment, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
  • Install and connect power distribution boards, control panels, and circuit protection devices, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering, mechanical, and shipbuilding teams to support integrated system installations and commissioning activities.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid 'A' Grade Electrical License with Mechanic Endorsement (or fitter where permitted).
  • High Risk Works – confined space / working at heights.
  • The ability to perform work in a safe and acceptable manner.
  • Demonstrate adequate theoretical knowledge.
  • The ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to meet set targets.
