Electrical Maintenance Technician

This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in a hotel setting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and schematics, with the ability to diagnose issues with minimal supervision.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems in guest rooms, common areas, kitchens, pools, elevators, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults (e.g., lighting, power outages, short circuits).
  • Replace faulty wiring, switches, outlets, and fixtures.
  • Maintain and service backup generators and emergency systems.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with local safety and building codes.
  • Perform preventative maintenance schedules on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Support other maintenance staff with multi-disciplinary tasks when needed.

The successful candidate will have an Electrical trade certification or journeyman license and 2+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or commercial environment.

">Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and schematics.
  • Ability to diagnose issues with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Electrical trade certification or journeyman license.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or commercial environment.
