About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering electrical work on time, in full, and to the required standard while striving for continuous improvement.

You will ensure safety for yourself and your workmates, maintaining a clean, tidy, and productive work environment.

The successful candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components on board commercial and defence vessels.

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components on board commercial and defence vessels, including lighting, navigation, propulsion, and communication systems.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient electrical installations.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault-finding on electrical equipment, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
  • Install and connect power distribution boards, control panels, and circuit protection devices, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering, mechanical, and shipbuilding teams to support integrated system installations and commissioning activities.
  • Adhere to WHS (Work Health and Safety) procedures and electrical safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on board and in the shipyard.
