Job Overview

As a Gameplay Systems Engineer at Ubisoft, you will play a crucial role in the development of engaging gameplay experiences. This position requires close collaboration with Games Designers to design and implement gameplay systems that meet the company's high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Design team to define and develop prototypes that align with the company's vision.
  • Participate in the architecture, design, and implementation of gameplay code that meets performance and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of gameplay systems.
  • Identify and implement innovative tools and techniques to enhance gameplay quality.
  • Interface with various disciplines to ensure that gameplay constraints are well-integrated into the game development process.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in C++ programming, including refactoring, optimization, debugging, and testing.
  • Strong understanding of 3D mathematics and their application in gameplay systems.
  • Experience with Client-Server architectures and network replication.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Interest in game design and a strong understanding of responsive and intuitive game mechanics.
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-organize.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work as a team player.
  • Experience working on first or third-person games is a plus, but not required.
