About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing management support to the Mechanical Workshop team and contractors to ensure customer expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide active management, leadership, guidance, and coaching to the Mechanical Workshop team and contractors.
  • Be responsible for the governance and compliance for all mechanical activities and installations in the workshop.
  • Have a high-level focus on safety and directions for the team.
  • Develop and manage an Mechanical Skills training matrix.
  • Ensure KPIs, targets, due dates, and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure single point accountability for all major mechanical projects.

About You
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within the mining and heavy earthmoving industries, leading a team to achieve targeted results.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar parts and service systems and a comprehensive understanding of the business systems and processes.
  • Dedicated commitment to health and safety.
  • High level of initiative, reliability, and ability to work independently.
  • A customer-driven focus and demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships.
