Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Settlement Worker to join our team as a Community Settlement Program Manager. This role will equip eligible clients, including adults, families, and young people from migrant/refugee backgrounds, to address their identified settlement needs and improve their social participation, economic well-being, independence, personal well-being, and community connectedness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employ a strength-based, client-centred, and trauma-informed approach to promote self-efficiency and agency.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mainstream service providers, referral processes, relevant legislation, and frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality case management services (low, medium, and high intensity) and community development initiatives.
  • Meet identified community needs through groupwork initiatives and ensure the quality and safety of service delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and maintain data collection and client records to meet funding body and legislative requirements.

Requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work or other relevant human/social sciences, and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in casework/case management, conducting needs assessments, developing and reviewing case plans, providing information, referral, advice, and case coordination.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with individuals, communities, and key stakeholders.
  • National Police Check, Working With Children Check, and current driver's licence.
  • Evidence of current flu vaccination and COVID-19.
