About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to contribute to the comprehensive care of clients in a mental health setting.

The successful candidate will assist occupational and recreational therapists in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based therapeutic recreation and leisure programs at Normanby House.

  • Assess client needs and develop individually tailored activities
  • Work with consumers and their families to provide innovative and stimulating experiences
  • Maintain documentation reflecting interventions and client response

To be successful in this role, you will require previous experience working within mental health or a strong interest in mental well-being, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication, and organisational abilities.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services and support clients in achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering group activities that promote psychological and physical well-being
  • Collaborating with occupational and recreational therapists to develop and implement individualised care plans
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of client interactions and progress
