Medical Receptionist and Typist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist and Typist to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, handling communications, and performing medical typing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all incoming and outgoing communications, including answering phone calls and responding to emails promptly.
  • Welcome patients to the practice, manage appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling using Genie software.
  • Prepare and run patient clinics, billing, and receipting of consultations.
  • Assist with theatre quotations, bookings, and preparation of theatre lists.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Surgeon and collaborate closely with the Senior Secretary.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in a similar specialist practice environment.
  • Previous medical typing experience.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and Private Health Fund billing processes.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in using Genie software.
  • Clear, concise, and professional communication skills.
