Feed Mill Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Feed Mill Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our modern facility in Melbourne's South East fringe.

  • This key position involves providing oversight and guidance to the existing team, working closely with executive management to ensure the site is profitable and maintaining a high level of quality and excellence across all areas.
  • Oversight for scheduling and production planning processes will be crucial, as well as monitoring mill performance across key metrics, managing site administration and labour costs, and driving continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will require 5+ years of experience managing a milling/manufacturing environment, with extensive team management experience and a passion for the stockfeed sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and plan production effectively to meet customer demands
  • Monitor and improve mill performance, implementing strategies to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Manage site administration, including labour costs and budgeting
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for growth
  • Maintain regulatory systems and standards, ensuring compliance and site hygiene
Requirements:
