Job Title: Traffic and Transport Coordinator
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Traffic and Transport Coordinator to lead our traffic and transport program. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic leadership to build a proactive service, delivering an efficient, safe and integrated transport environment in our Local Government Area.
This is a Permanent, Full-time role based in Hurstville. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality results and contribute to our vision of creating accessible green and liveable spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with stakeholders to identify and prioritize traffic and transport projects;
- Develop and implement strategies to improve traffic flow and safety;
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders;
- Maintain accurate records and databases;
- Contribute to team meetings and discussions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Civil & Environmental Engineering;
- Current Class C Drivers Licence;
- Construction Induction (White Card) certificate;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in local government traffic and/or related fields;
- Demonstrated experience in administering the Council Traffic Advisory Committee;
- Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with stakeholders on traffic and transport issues;
- Experience in preparing high-quality concept designs for civil infrastructure road works;
- Extensive knowledge of development application procedures and reporting;
- Understanding of traffic engineering modelling software, GIS (mapping) software, CAD software;
- Ability to provide advice on traffic and road safety issues pertaining to strategic plans and legal proceedings;
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources and promote a team environment to achieve team and broader business objectives.
- Permanent, Full-time role;
- Salary range $127,853.30 per annum, plus 12% superannuation;
- 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance;
