Job Overview:

The Sydney office is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team.

This role presents an opportunity to grow your career in transport advisory while contributing to impactful projects across the region.

  • Conducting intersection analysis and/or traffic modelling to inform infrastructure development and transportation planning initiatives.
  • Analysing signal timing, parking and traffic data to optimise traffic flow and reduce congestion.
  • Developing innovative solutions for traffic engineering design, including swept path assessments, site access and car parking layout reviews.
  • Undertaking intersection and corridor studies to identify areas for improvement and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Preparing technical reports and proposals that meet client needs and expectations.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication and project management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes and advance the company's goals.
  • Contribute to business development activities, identifying new opportunities and partnerships that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Experience:

We're looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Ideally 3–6 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in traffic engineering and transport planning.
  • Experience with traffic modelling and design software such as SIDRA, VISSIM and AutoTurn.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
