We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our risk management team and help strengthen our financial risk framework through meaningful analysis, stress testing, and proactive risk management.
This key role reports to the Specialist Risk and Assurance Lead and supports financial risk measurement and resilience through strategic scenario analysis, modelling and ongoing interpretation of market conditions.
- Monitor financial markets and macroeconomic trends to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Lead or support the development, validation and governance of financial risk and forecasting models.
- Review and challenge balance sheet management actions and strategies considering financial resilience and strategic alignment.
- Coordinate and deliver stress testing and scenario analysis, including Enterprise Wide Stress Testing (EWST).
- Contribute to the identification and quantification of new and emerging risks such as climate risk.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to enhance risk awareness and foster a strong risk culture.
- Deliver timely, accurate analysis of financial risks aligned with risk appetite and resilience.
About You:
- Proven experience in financial analysis, treasury, risk or a related discipline.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights effectively.
- Exceptional skills in building relationships and fostering collaboration.
- Actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Proactive mindset in identifying solutions and abreast of emerging risks.
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
- Understanding of financial markets and the impact on organisation performance.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with proficiency in relevant tools.
- Familiarity with stress testing and scenario planning techniques.
- Working knowledge of risk frameworks and APRA prudential standards.
