About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Manager to lead portfolio optimisation for our mortgage business. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the portfolio to identify key factors driving performance across the entire mortgage value chain.
  • Optimise the balance sheet by focusing on ideal composition, effective expense management, and improving margins and ROE.
  • Reduce portfolio attrition by creating pricing strategies that extend customer tenure and minimise churn, ensuring an optimal balance between retained value and retention costs.
  • Accurately forecast and manage both short and long-term revenue and portfolio growth within the mortgage business.
  • Analyse key portfolio trends to proactively recommend solutions in response to evolving dynamics.
  • Enhance portfolio pricing through advanced lifecycle modelling using a multistate approach.
  • Provide strategic advice on customer segmentation, acquisition strategies, pricing, and more.
  • Build capabilities to integrate cost-to-serve analysis into decision-making processes.
  • Manage regular pricing activities, including preparing pricing papers for executive management, monitoring portfolio performance, and developing business cases.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in numerical fields (e.g., Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance).
  • 8+ years of experience in portfolio management or consulting background.
  • Exceptional analytical background with actuarial qualifications (FIAA) as a plus.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and coding (Python, SAS, SQL).
  • Self-starter with problem-solving mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, including executive and board-level presentations.
  • Deep understanding of retail banking products, profitability levers, and financial performance drivers.
  • Experience in strategy articulation and setting strategic direction.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, data analysis, business case development, and market analysis.
  • Exceptional Power Point, data visualisation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to critically review business cases and product proposals.
  • Excellent market and competitor analysis skills.
  • Capable of working effectively in both team and autonomous environments.
  • Ability to work quickly and follow through to completion.
  • Ability to speak with senior stakeholders and influence at all levels.
