
HR Employee Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Lead to manage employee relations cases involving interpersonal conflict and/or allegations of HR policy violations.
Key responsibilities include analyzing context, facts, and documentation gathered within the case management process to develop balanced recommended actions that address any misconduct and restore damaged relationships.
They will also facilitate restorative conversations (mediated discussions) between employees with an emphasis on repairing relationships, maintain confidential records within a shared case management tool, and leverage the case management tool to identify themes affecting employee groups or subgroups.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated case management skills, including planning, organisation, attention to detail, and ability to deliver multiple tasks or competing priorities within a time-sensitive environment.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in employee relations, mediation, or human resources, with additional years awarded for relevant advanced degrees;
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization;
- Significant case management capabilities paired with a thorough understanding of employment principles, concepts, policies, and standards;
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing policy and educational programs to address legislative changes, ensuring compliance and promoting awareness;
- Proven data analytics skills with expertise in applying case precedent to inform recommendations and using case data to perform trend analysis;
- Strong data management skills with a focus on enhancing team-wide data standards and practices;
- Direct experience with conflict management techniques such as mediation and restorative practices;
This is a full-time role reporting to the ELR team lead. The selected candidate will work independently to drive results at a high level without day-to-day supervision, and will mentor teammates across a global ELR team.
Remuneration: A$120,000 - A$135,000 per annum.
