About the Role

The Digital Learning Experience Designer will be part of a dynamic team that implements key initiatives within the RMIT Library Digital Learning Team. This team is responsible for developing and managing extensible digital resources, creating pedagogically sound content, and future-proofing digital learning environments.

The successful candidate will work across multiple projects, including the migration of the Learning Lab, interface design for an online repository of digital learning objects, and direction for modifications to service design for digital resources managed by the Library.

This 4-month fixed-term position will play a crucial role in supporting educational programs, ensuring best practices in digital learning, and enabling RMIT staff to adapt to new methods and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Develop high-level interpersonal and professional communication skills to interact with diverse individuals and teams.
  • Possess web content experience, particularly in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and their application in content management systems.
  • Hold a professional background in secondary or tertiary education, or have demonstrable experience in leading digital design informed by analytics, prototyping, user stories, and research.
  • Apply user-centred design methodologies and best practices.

This role requires proficiency in implementing user-centred design methodologies and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess evidence of their part in project work showcasing various UX/UI design elements, such as high-fidelity screens/wireframes, user flows, personas, journey maps, or research findings.
