Key Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern to ensure the smooth operation of critical systems.
  • Undertake and support management of routine maintenance and emergency service of switch-gear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, fire systems, etc.
  • Install new rack capacity and provision power/cooling to meet the increasing demands of our customers.
  • On-site management of contractors and vendors to ensure work complies with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
  • 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

A Day in the Life

As a DCEO Engineer, your day will be filled with opportunities to make a real impact on our business. You will be responsible for sustaining availability, cost management, risk assessment and mitigation, review of corrective and preventive maintenance of critical infrastructure, and metric reporting. You will also participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern to ensure the smooth operation of critical systems.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals, including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate with people across the organization to help us deliver safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost.

You will drive and implement projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability; assist in design implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new data center facilities. You will also perform rack installs and decommissioning, and facility management, provide operational readings and KPIs to ensure uptime, and oversee the performance and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
