About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to pursue a career in both health and hospitality. The position offers a great work-life balance, with no weekends or nights, which is rare in the hospitality industry.

The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a background in health or hospitality and experience in leadership or a desire to lead. The role involves supervising a small front of house kitchen team, ensuring excellent customer service, and coordinating meal services for patients and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality meal preparation.
  • Meal Service Coordination: Coordinate patient and resident meal service, including tray management and food delivery.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including dishwashing, cleaning, and food preparation.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure food safety and quality standards are met, and cleaning obligations are fulfilled.
  • Roster Management: Support roster management and work closely with chefs and the Food Services Manager.

This full-time role typically requires working weekdays from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, providing a hands-on leadership experience with opportunities for career growth.

The successful candidate will need to be punctual, reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A passion for providing high-quality hospitality services is a must for all clients of WDHS.
