Safety and Risk Management Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Advisor to join our team on the Belmont Desalination Project. As a key member of the project management team, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the safety function to ensure compliance with safety systems and procedures.
Your primary focus will be on implementing safety programs for project employees, conducting incident and accident investigations, and establishing positive working relationships with project personnel.
You will also assist with workers compensation claims and rehabilitation processes, conduct safety inspections and monitoring work areas, and develop communications tools and records for all project safety meetings.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor compliance with safety systems and procedures
- Implement safety programs for project employees
- Conduct incident and accident investigations
- Establish positive working relationships with project personnel
- Assist with workers compensation claims and rehabilitation processes
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Diploma of Work Health and Safety or equivalent
- Safety Lead Auditor qualification
- Construction safety management experience (1+ years)
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and monitoring of risk controls
- Experience monitoring, reviewing, and performing compliance inspections
As a Safety Advisor with John Holland, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
