Defence Capability Lead

As a strategic leader, you will oversee a team responsible for providing comprehensive statutory and performance assessments across all Defence delivery groups. This involves managing the Projects and Products of Concern and Interest framework, as well as offering analysis and decision support services.
The RoleThis is a high-tempo role that requires strategic thinking and collaboration with various stakeholders, including CASG, Defence enterprise, inter-Governmental and industry partners. You will lead teams and directly support senior leader decision making.
As an EL 2 Capability Analyst, you will exercise significant independence and perform an important leadership role. Your influence and development of strategies, policies, priorities and operational practices will be critical in supporting Defence objectives through high-level decision making and judgement.
We are seeking an individual who can lead a Directorate and apply their people management skills and knowledge to lead a high-performing and cohesive team.
About our TeamSPIA plays a key advisory role in planning and synchronising CASG's work, recognising the increasing complexity and interconnected nature of capability acquisition programs.
- Provide consolidated statutory and performance assessment reports.
- Manage the Projects and Products of Concern and Interest framework.
- Offer analysis and decision support services.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, strategic thinking and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Experience in leading high-performing teams and influencing organisational decisions is essential.
