Defence Supply Chain Capability Builder

The Industry Development Team works to enhance industrial capability in South Australian supply chains. It achieves this by promoting the adoption of innovative technologies and management methods that aid our suppliers in growing and improving their productivity, enabling them to compete and access new local or international markets.
This role focuses on building South Australian defence supply chain capability in readiness for future defence industry supply chains.
Main Responsibilities- Develop close relationships with key international defence primes, South Australian businesses, and relevant state and commonwealth government agencies.
- Develop and deliver programs of work that result in local suppliers being able to access future defence contracts.
Candidates must possess significant experience working in the defence sector or in industrial supply chains currently or potentially qualified suppliers to the defence sector.
They should demonstrate strong presentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise presentations and deliver them with confidence to a range of stakeholders.
Candidates should be able to work under broad policy guidelines, determine priorities, plan, implement, evaluate, and manage tasks, projects, and research and analyse, integrate, and report on a range of data and information from various sources.
Necessary Qualifications- Significant experience working in the defence sector or in industrial supply chains.
- Understanding of state and commonwealth defence policies.
- Presentation skills and ability to work under broad policy guidelines.
Candidates will be required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
